If you start Translate but no translated text appears on your G2 glasses, update the Even Realities App and glasses firmware to the latest versions. During a translation session, check whether the app displays both the original speech and the translated text.
If translation appears in the app
When Translate is set from Language A to Language B, your glasses show the Language B translation when someone speaks Language A. If both languages support two-way translation, you can also view translations from Language B back into Language A in the app. So if you see the reverse translation on your phone but not on your glasses, Translate is working as intended.
Some languages, such as Arabic, Bengali, and Hindi, may not appear on the glasses because the corresponding fonts are not currently supported.
If translation does not appear correctly in the app
- Exit Translate and start it again, or restart the Even Realities App.
- Open the translation settings and switch the audio input between the glasses' microphone and your phone's microphone. Test both to check whether audio pickup and translation resume.
- If the issue persists, restart your glasses and phone, switch to a different network, and test again. To restart the glasses, rapidly tap the touchpads on both temples five times. A prompt sound indicates that the glasses have restarted.
If switching microphones does not restore audio pickup or translation, please contact us with:
- The serial number (SN) of your glasses.
- Your Even Realities App account, phone model, and operating system version.
- The date and approximate time when the issue occurred.
- Device logs. Follow How To Upload Logs.
- Photos or videos showing the issue, if possible.
