If your Even Realities app cannot find your G2 glasses, please follow the instructions below to troubleshoot the issue:
Before troubleshooting, please make sure that the following conditions are met:
- The Even Realities app has been updated to the latest version.
- Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
- The necessary permissions have been granted to the app, such as Bluetooth and Location permissions.
Please follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check the charging: Remove the glasses from the charging case and connect the charging case to a power source. Check whether the indicator light turns on for 3 seconds and then automatically turns off. This means that the case is charged properly.
- Check the battery power: Place the glasses back into the charging case correctly. Wait for 10 minutes and observe whether the indicator light turns on for 3 seconds and then automatically turns off. This means that the glasses can charge normally.
Then, open the charging case lid and try to connect the glasses to the app again to check the result. You may repeat this process several times to observe the result.
- Check the touchpads and display: After charging for a period of time, remove the glasses from the charging case and double-tap the touchpads on both temples to check whether the glasses can wake up normally.
- Restart and re-pair: If the device still cannot be found, try restarting the glasses using one of the methods below, and then try to connect the glasses again.
- Method 1 - Touchpads: Rapidly tap the touchpads on both temples five times. You will hear a prompt sound indicating that the glasses have restarted.
- Method 2 - Charging case: Place the glasses correctly into the charging case and connect the case to a power source. Then, unplug and reconnect the power cable rapidly three times within seven seconds. If the indicator light alternately blinks white and orange, it means that the glasses have restarted successfully.
- Search for the device: If the first four steps work but the glasses still cannot be found, please download the nRF Connect app and use it to scan for the device's Bluetooth signal to see whether the Bluetooth signal can be detected.
If the issue still persists, please provide the following information:
- A video showing the indicator light status when the charging case is connected to power, including both scenarios: with the charging case empty and with the glasses placed inside.
- A screenshot of the scanning results in the nRF Connect app.
- The serial number (SN) of the glasses.
- A screenshot of the connection results in the app.
- Please upload the logs through the app and let us know the approximate time when the issue occurred. How To Upload Logs
- A video showing the lens display status when you double-tap the touchpads on both temples to wake up the glasses.
