Charging Indicator Remains On or Flashes When Placing the R1 Ring on the Dock to Charge

If you notice that the indicator light on the dock remains on or flashes when the R1 ring is placed on the charging dock to charge, please follow the instructions below to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Test the charging dock
Connect the charging dock by itself to a 5V power adapter and check whether the indicator light turns white for approximately 3 seconds and then automatically turns off. This means that the dock is charged normally.
  1. Test the ring
If it does, wait for 5 seconds and then place the ring onto the charging dock in the correct orientation. Check again whether the indicator light on the dock turns on for approximately 3 seconds and then automatically turns off, and whether the ring starts charging normally in the app.
  1. Check the Bluetooth signal
If the orange indicator light remains solid or keeps flashing after the ring is placed on the charging dock and the ring cannot be connected to the app, please use the nRF Connect app to scan for the ring's Bluetooth device name and check whether it can be detected successfully.
 
If the issue still persists, please provide the following information:
  1. The serial number (SN) of the ring.
  2. A video showing:
    • The indicator light behavior when the charging dock is connected to the power outlet without the R1 ring on it.
    • The indicator light behavior when the ring is correctly placed on the charging dock.
  3. A screenshot of the scan results from the nRF Connect app.
