If your Even Realities app cannot find your R1 ring, please follow the instructions below to troubleshoot the issue:
Before troubleshooting, please make sure that the following conditions are met:
A working power adapter.
Please follow the instructions below to troubleshoot the issue:
- Activate the ring:
Connect the charger to a power source and check whether the indicator light turns on for 3 seconds and then turns off automatically, as it means that the case is normally charged.
Then, place the ring correctly on the charger and charge it for 10 seconds to activate the device. The indicator light should turn on for 3 seconds again and then automatically turn off. This means that the ring is detected successfully. After that, please try connecting again.
Here is a picture to help you place the ring on the charger correctly.
- Charge the ring
After charging the ring for 10 minutes, quickly tap the touch area 5 times to restart the ring, and then try connecting again.
- Check the device signal
Download the nRF Connect app and check whether the Bluetooth signal of the R1 can be detected.
- Drain the battery
Leave the ring unused for 3 days to completely drain the battery (you may consider placing a wet tissue on the touch area to speed up the battery drain). Then, charge the ring for 10 minutes and try connecting again to check the result.
If the issue still persists, please provide us with the following information:
- A video recorded from a vertical angle showing the following information:
- The status of the charger indicator when the charger is connected to a power source without the ring placed on it.
- The status of the charger indicator on the charger and the status of the light at the inner ring after the R1 is placed correctly on the charger.
- A screenshot of the search results in the nRF Connect app.
- A screenshot of the connection result in the app, including whether any error code is displayed.
