Effective Date: October 30, 2026
This Privacy Notice explains how Even Realities GmbH (“Even Realities,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) processes your personal data when you choose to use AI Memory or Knowledge Base. It supplements our Privacy Policy (Device & APP).
For purposes of this Notice, we refer to AI Memory and Knowledge Base together as the “AI Personalization Features.”
1. How the AI Personalization Features Work
AI Memory and Knowledge Base are two related but separately managed features that can use information from previous sessions to provide more personalized responses, cues, and suggestions.
AI Memory
When you turn on Use AI Memory, Even AI may use context from your previous conversations with Even AI to provide responses that better reflect your prior interactions.
AI Memory is a dynamic personalization mechanism. It does not constitute a complete or permanent record of your preferences or information.
Knowledge Base
Knowledge Base allows you to create a personal knowledge base using documents you upload and Conversate Records you authorize. Even AI and Conversate may use that knowledge base to provide more relevant responses, cues, and suggestions for you.
Knowledge Base requires AI Memory, but you can choose to enable or disable Knowledge Base separately. Turning on AI Memory does not automatically turn on Knowledge Base.
The AI Personalization Features are not intended to serve as cloud backup or synchronization services for your conversations, files, or records.
2. How to Enable or Disable the Features
You can manage AI Memory and Knowledge Base separately.
Managing AI Memory
You can turn AI Memory on or off through:
Settings > Privacy > Use AI Memory
- If you turn on Use AI Memory: Even AI may use context from your previous Even AI conversations to personalize future responses.
- If you turn off Use AI Memory: Even AI will stop using context from previous sessions, and Knowledge Base will no longer be available. Even AI and Conversate will operate based on the current session without using information from previous sessions or Knowledge Base.
Managing Knowledge Base
Knowledge Base can only be used while AI Memory is turned on. You can separately enable, disable, and manage Knowledge Base through the Knowledge Base settings.
- If you enable Knowledge Base: Even AI and Conversate may use the documents and Conversate Records you add or authorize as Knowledge Base sources.
- If you disable Knowledge Base: Knowledge Base will stop using those sources to personalize Even AI and Conversate. AI Memory may remain enabled, and Even AI may continue using context from your previous Even AI conversations.
- If you want to stop using Knowledge Base entirely: Select Delete in Knowledge Base Settings. This stops Knowledge Base and deletes all data generated by Knowledge Base itself, without deleting your Conversate Records.
Turning off AI Memory will also make Knowledge Base unavailable. If you later turn AI Memory back on, you will still be able to choose separately whether to enable Knowledge Base.
3. What Data Sources We Use
The data sources used depend on which AI Personalization Feature you enable.
AI Memory data sources
AI Memory uses your previous conversations with Even AI, including:
- queries or instructions you submit to Even AI; and
- responses generated by Even AI.
We use this information to provide more relevant and personalized Even AI responses across sessions.
Knowledge Base data sources
If you separately enable Knowledge Base, it may use:
- documents you upload to Knowledge Base; and
- Conversate Records you choose to add through any of the following optional methods:
- importing Records during Knowledge Base onboarding;
- manually adding or importing Records after onboarding; or
- enabling Auto sync new Conversate Records to periodically sync new Records to Knowledge Base.
We use these sources to build and maintain your personal Knowledge Base and to provide more relevant Even AI responses and Conversate cues and suggestions.
Knowledge Base does not use a source unless you upload it, manually add or import it, or enable the applicable automatic synchronization setting. Each of these options is voluntary.
In Knowledge Base > Sources, you can:
- add or remove individual uploaded documents; and
- add or remove individual Conversate Records.
In Knowledge Base > Settings, you can turn Auto sync new Conversate Records on or off.
4. How We Use Your Data
We use personal data processed through the AI Personalization Features only to:
- personalize Even AI responses based on your previous Even AI conversations;
- build and maintain your personal Knowledge Base when you enable that feature;
- help Even AI provide responses that are more relevant to the sources in your Knowledge Base; and
- help Conversate provide more relevant AI cues and suggestions.
Personal data processed through the AI Personalization Features is:
- not used to train or optimize general AI models for all users; and
- not used for advertising or marketing purposes.
5. Legal Basis and Consent
We process your personal data for the AI Personalization Features based on your consent.
AI Memory is enabled only after you actively opt in, such as by agreeing when the feature is presented to you or by turning on:
Settings > Privacy > Use AI Memory
Enabling Knowledge Base is a separate choice. Knowledge Base can only be used while AI Memory is turned on, but turning on AI Memory does not constitute consent to enable Knowledge Base.
You may withdraw your consent to AI Memory at any time by turning off Use AI Memory. This will also make Knowledge Base unavailable.
You may stop using Knowledge Base without turning off AI Memory by disabling Knowledge Base or removing its sources. In that case, Even AI may continue using context from your previous Even AI conversations.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
6. Managing and Deleting Your Data
Turning off AI Memory or Knowledge Base stops the relevant personalization use of your data going forward. However, turning off a feature does not automatically delete the underlying conversations, records, or files stored in your account or through File and Record Cloud Sync.
You can manage Knowledge Base sources as follows:
- Uploaded documents: Remove the document in Knowledge Base > Sources. The document will no longer be used by Knowledge Base.
- Individual Conversate Records: Remove the selected record in Knowledge Base > Sources. Removing a record from Knowledge Base only removes it as a Knowledge Base source. It does not delete the underlying record from your Conversate history.
To permanently delete an underlying conversation, record, or cloud-synced file, use the deletion controls available in:Settings > Privacy > File and Record Cloud Sync
AI Memory, Knowledge Base, and File and Record Cloud Sync have different purposes and controls. Enabling or disabling an AI Personalization Feature does not automatically change the storage status of files or records managed through File and Record Cloud Sync.
Subject to applicable law, some data may be retained where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, protect the security of our services, or enforce our agreements. More information about retention and deletion is available in our Privacy Policy.
7. Sensitive Information
AI Memory is designed not to proactively create memories from sensitive information—such as health, financial, or identity information—unless you explicitly ask it to do so.
However, Knowledge Base will process the content of documents and Conversate Records that you choose to add or authorize. These sources may contain sensitive information.
Please avoid asking Even AI to remember sensitive information or adding sensitive information to Knowledge Base unless it is necessary for your intended use.
If you have concerns about data sensitivity or require a higher level of confidentiality, you can:
- remove the relevant source from Knowledge Base;
- disable Knowledge Base; or
- turn off Use AI Memory.
8. How We Protect Your Data
We implement appropriate technical, organizational, and contractual measures designed to protect personal data processed through the AI Personalization Features against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or misuse.
We may use affiliates and contracted service providers, including cloud and AI service providers, to operate these features on our behalf. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we use safeguards required by applicable law.
For more information about our security measures, service providers, data retention, and international transfers, please review our Privacy Policy.
