Understanding User Experience Improvement
By enabling “Help Improve Our User Experience,” you consent to Even Realities using your product usage data to enhance our products and services. This includes:
- Enhancing reliability to ensure stable operation
- Optimizing performance for real‑world use cases
- Prioritizing upgrades across hardware, firmware, and software based on actual usage patterns
- Conducting other reasonable data analyses that contribute to product and service optimization
All such activities are strictly limited to performance evaluation and optimization, and do not involve using your data to train generative artificial intelligence models. For purposes of this provision, “training” means modifying the parameters, model weights, or generative architecture of a large language model (LLM), and does not include prompt engineering, context configuration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or other optimization activities that do not modify model parameters or weights.
Your participation is entirely voluntary. You can manage your preference at any time through the settings described below.
What This Option Covers
With your explicit consent, we may collect and analyze technical, operational, and interaction‑related data generated from your use of Even Realities products and services (“Usage Data”). This may include, where applicable:
- Device and system information: device model, firmware and app versions, configuration settings, connection status, and operational logs.
- Usage and performance data: feature activation, usage patterns, response outcomes, and stability indicators.
- Interaction data: head posture, audio records, and texts that you provide as inputs when using real‑time translation and other services.
- Aggregated analytics: de‑identified or statistical summaries derived from the above, such as completion rates, latency metrics, and language or feature distribution.
All data collected is used exclusively for product and service improvement and to inform development priorities. The data subject to analysis is de‑identified, anonymized, or aggregated, ensuring that no personal information is retained or attributable to you.
Specifically regarding audio records: we only use such data in aggregated or anonymized form, and solely for the improvement of multimedia technology. This includes, but is not limited to, noise suppression, speech enhancement, acoustic echo cancellation, dereverberation, and automatic gain control, as well as adaptive audio tuning across different usage scenarios – all intended to enhance audio signal quality for more accurate and reliable transcription results. We do not, however, use audio records for content analysis, content recognition, or model training of any kind. You can manage and control the collection of audio records at any time via the “Include Audio Records” toggle (Settings > Privacy > Help Improve Our User Experience > Include Audio Records).
What We Do Not Use Your Data For
This option is not used for:
- Selling or disclosing your personal information for advertising purposes
- Building individual marketing profiles
- Sharing program data with any third parties
- Training generative AI models
How Your Data Is Protected
At Even Realities, we take appropriate technical, organizational, and administrative measures to protect your data throughout its lifecycle. These safeguards are designed to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss, and to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your personal information. Regardless of which feature or option you enable, your data is protected by a comprehensive set of practices, including but not limited to:
- Encryption: All data is encrypted both in transit and at rest using industry‑standard protocols.
- Access Controls: We implement role‑based access control (RBAC), enforce the principle of least privilege, and require multi‑factor authentication (MFA) for relevant internal systems that contain personal data.
- De‑identification and Anonymization: Wherever feasible, we apply de‑identification, anonymization, or aggregation techniques to your data before any analysis.
- Data Retention Limitation: We retain your data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this notice, or as required by applicable law. Once the retention period expires, data is securely deleted from our systems or permanently anonymized so that it can no longer be associated with you.
