G2 Firmware Update Fails at 50% Progress or Above

If the G2 firmware update fails at 50% progress or above, follow these steps.

  1. Check the update requirements.

    • Make sure your phone has a stable internet connection.
    • Keep the Even Realities App open in the foreground throughout the update.
    • Update the Even Realities App to the latest version.

  2. Quickly tap the touchpads on both temples five times to restart the glasses. After they reconnect to the app, try updating again.

  3. Go to Device Information in the Even Realities App and perform a Factory Reset. Forget the glasses in your phone’s Bluetooth settings, reconnect them to the app, and try updating again.

  • The troubleshooting steps you have already tried.
  • The serial number (SN) of your G2 glasses.
  • Upload the logs through the app while the glasses are connected, and upload them again after the issue occurs. Follow How To Upload Logs.
  • The time when the issue occurred and the update progress percentage after you retried.
