G2 Firmware Update Fails Below 50% Progress

If the G2 firmware update fails before reaching 50%, follow these steps.

  1. Check the update requirements.

    • Make sure your phone has a stable internet connection.
    • Keep the Even Realities App open in the foreground throughout the update.
    • Update the Even Realities App to the latest version.

  2. Exit the update failure screen and try updating again.

  3. If the current glasses firmware is earlier than 2.2.5:

    1. Go to Device Information in the app and tap Factory reset.
    2. Restart your phone and try updating again.

  4. If the current glasses firmware is 2.2.5 or later:

    1. Restart your phone and try updating again.
    2. Connect your phone to a different network and try the firmware update again.

If the issue persists, please contact us with the following information so we can investigate:

  • The troubleshooting steps you have already tried.
  • The serial number (SN) of your G2 glasses.
  • After the issue occurs again while the glasses are connected to the app, upload the app logs. Follow How To Upload Logs.
  • The time when the issue occurred and the progress percentage at which the update failed.
