G2 and R1 disconnect frequently
Issue
Both G2 and R1 connect to the app normally, but while using G2 you frequently see Ring Disconnected. In some cases, the connection comes back automatically or can be restored by tapping the yellow notice in the app.
Troubleshooting
- Restart the app.
- Make sure the app, ring firmware, and glasses firmware are all updated to the latest version.
- Go to My Devices > Ring Info and turn off Low Power Mode. This may improve connection stability, although battery life may be reduced.

G2 and R1 reconnecting takes too long and fails
Issue
Both G2 and R1 can connect to the app normally, but when the app shows a yellow notice that G2 and R1 are disconnected, tapping it leads to loading for a while and then the reconnection fails.
Troubleshooting
- Restart the app.
- Check whether this G2 or R1 has previously connected to other G2 or R1 devices. If there are multiple paired G2 or R1 devices nearby, move the target device away from the others to avoid Bluetooth interference.
- Restart the glasses.
- Remove R1 and add it again:
- Go to My Devices > Ring Info and remove R1.
- Go to your phone’s Bluetooth settings, forget the EVEN R1 record, restart Bluetooth, and add the ring again.
-
Make sure the app, ring firmware, and glasses firmware are all up to date. In My Devices > Ring Info, turn off Low Power Mode to improve connection stability.
- If the problem continues, factory reset the glasses and add G2 again:
- Go to My Devices > Glasses Info and factory reset the glasses.
- Go to your phone’s Bluetooth settings and forget both temple records for this G2.
- Add G2 again.
How to restart the glasses
Option 1: Restart with the charging case
- Put the glasses in the charging case and make sure the charging contacts are aligned properly.
- Connect power to the charging case.
- Within 7 seconds, plug and unplug the charging cable 3 times quickly.
- Remove the glasses and try connecting again.
Option 2: Restart with touch controls
- Make sure the glasses are powered on and the screen is lit.
- Quickly tap both temples more than 5 times each, but fewer than 10 times.
Important:
Both the left and right temples must be tapped more than 5 times each. If only one side is tapped, the restart may not complete successfully.

- Remove R1 and add it again:
- Go to My Devices > Ring Info and remove R1.
- Go to your phone’s Bluetooth settings, forget the EVEN R1 record, restart Bluetooth, and add the ring again.
-
Make sure the app, ring firmware, and glasses firmware are all updated to the latest version. In My Devices > Ring Info, turn off Low Power Mode to improve connection stability.
