1. About this Notice
Even Hub helps Users discover Plug-ins that extend the functionality of Even Realities Products and Services.
Our goal is to present Plug-ins that are useful, relevant and compatible with the User’s Even Realities Products. To achieve this, Even Realities may use calculated ordering, relevance-based recommendations and manual editorial selection. The method used, and the importance given to each factor, depends on the context in which the Plug-in is presented.
This Notice explains the principal factors that may affect how Plug-ins are selected, recommended and ranked. It is intended to help Users understand why they may see particular Plug-ins and to help Developers understand what may affect the discoverability of their Plug-ins.
This Notice provides information only. It does not constitute a separate agreement and does not require separate acceptance. It should be read together with the Even Hub Terms of Service, the Even Hub Developer Platform Terms of Service, where applicable, and the Privacy Policy (Device & APP).
2. Understanding Plug-ins
Even Hub needs information about a Plug-in to determine whether, where and how it should be presented.
This information may include the Plug-in’s name, description, category, Developer, visual materials, functions and intended use. Even Hub may also consider its publication history, compatibility with Even Realities Products, firmware and software, installation and like information, and whether it remains available and compliant with applicable requirements.
Developers are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information about their Third-party Plug-ins. Even Realities may also review information submitted by Developers, assess technical and operational characteristics, and consider the outcome of Publication Review.
This information helps Even Hub organize Plug-ins, identify the contexts in which they may be relevant and determine whether they remain eligible to appear. Even Realities may correct, restrict or remove inaccurate, unavailable or non-compliant Plug-ins in accordance with the applicable terms.
3. How Even Hub Organizes and Ranks Plug-ins
Even Hub does not apply one universal ranking formula to every Plug-in or every recommendation.
The principal factors may include availability and compatibility, relevance, Plug-in quality, installation activity, recency, editorial value, commercial considerations and the overall user experience. These factors are applied differently depending on the recommendation or ranking involved.
Availability, compliance and compatibility generally operate as threshold requirements. A Plug-in that does not meet those requirements may be excluded even if it would otherwise qualify for a prominent position based on installation activity, release time or another factor.
Where Plug-ins are ordered by recent activity, recent installation records are generally the most important factor. Where Plug-ins are ordered by overall popularity, cumulative installation records are generally the most important factor. Where Plug-ins are ordered by recency, first public release time is generally the most important factor. Where Plug-ins are selected manually, editorial judgment is generally the most important factor.
Some recommendations may also be adapted to a User’s relevant context. In those cases, the applicable audience rule, the priority of that rule and the editorial order of Plug-ins within the rule are generally more important than popularity information.
Where two or more Plug-ins have the same value for the principal ranking factor, Even Hub may apply a stable technical secondary order. A position resulting from that secondary order does not indicate that one Plug-in is of higher quality or is more strongly recommended than another.
4. Plug-in Quality, Availability and Compatibility
Even Hub seeks to present Plug-ins that can provide an appropriate experience on supported Even Realities Products. When assessing eligibility or making an editorial selection, Even Realities may consider whether a Plug-in performs its stated functions, is compatible with the relevant Products and software, remains stable and operational, and accurately describes its functionality. Security, ease of use, the quality of materials presented before installation and the support provided by the Developer may also be relevant. These considerations are particularly important when determining whether a Plug-in is eligible to appear and whether it may be included in an editorial recommendation. They do not necessarily change the mathematical order of a list expressly based on installations, likes or release time.
Passing Publication Review or being published through Even Hub does not guarantee that a Plug-in will be recommended, included in an editorial collection or assigned a particular position.
Even Realities may restrict or remove a Plug-in where reasonably necessary to address legal, security, privacy, technical, user-experience or policy concerns.
5. Editorial Recommendations
Even Realities may manually select and arrange Plug-ins that it considers noteworthy, useful or relevant.
When making an editorial selection, Even Realities may consider the Plug-in’s usefulness, functionality, design, originality, intended audience, compatibility, performance and overall User experience. Timeliness, community interest, the purpose of the relevant collection and the overall variety of the recommendation may also be relevant.
Editorial recommendations and their order are determined by Even Realities. Installation or engagement information may inform the editorial assessment, but it does not automatically determine inclusion or position.
Editorial selection is not a review of every Plug-in available through Even Hub. A Plug-in’s inclusion does not guarantee future inclusion or a fixed position.
Even Hub may also present selected community comments as editorial content. These comments are selected by Even Realities and may not represent all Users or all available feedback. A displayed comment represents the views of its author rather than Even Realities. Even Realities will use identifiable comments and related author information only where it has the necessary permission or another appropriate legal basis.
6. Popularity, Installations and Likes
Even Realities may use recorded installation or like activity to help Users identify Plug-ins that are attracting interest. The principal factor depends on the purpose of the relevant ranking.
Where Even Hub provides Trending or another ranking intended to reflect recent interest, Plug-ins are ordered according to the number of installations recorded during a defined recent measurement period, with Plug-ins having more recorded installations generally appearing first. Recent recorded installation activity is the most important factor for this type of ranking because its purpose is to show which Plug-ins have recently attracted installation activity. An installation may remain included in the applicable count even if the User later uninstalls the Plug-in. This type of ranking therefore reflects recorded installation activity rather than net installations, unique Users or current active use.
Where Even Hub provides Most Installed, Most Popular or another ranking intended to reflect accumulated popularity, Plug-ins are ordered according to their total recorded installation count, with Plug-ins having more recorded installations generally appearing first. Total recorded installations are the most important factor for this type of ranking because its purpose is to reflect accumulated installation activity over time.
Where Even Hub provides Most Liked or another ranking intended to reflect User likes, Plug-ins are ordered according to the number of recorded likes they have received, with Plug-ins having more recorded likes generally appearing first. Recorded likes are the most important factor for this type of ranking because its purpose is to reflect the likes Users have given a Plug-in.
A like represents a User action recorded through the applicable Even Hub functionality. It does not constitute a technical assessment, warranty or endorsement by Even Realities.
Installation and like information describes recorded User activity. It does not necessarily indicate a Plug-in’s quality, security, reliability, suitability or current level of active use.
Even Realities may adjust the applicable measurement period or related calculation details as Even Hub develops. We will update this Notice if a change materially alters the principal factor used for a ranking or the way in which that factor affects the order of Plug-ins.
7. Recency
Where Even Hub provides Fresh, Most Recent or another ranking intended to help Users discover newly available Plug-ins, Plug-ins are ordered according to when they were first made publicly available through Even Hub, with more recently released Plug-ins generally appearing first.
First public release time is the most important factor for this type of ranking. The applicable rule is determined by the ranking’s purpose and principal factor rather than its displayed title alone.
Republishing or updating a Plug-in does not ordinarily reset its first public release time. An existing Plug-in will therefore not normally be treated as newly released solely because it has been updated, republished or made available in a new version.
A Plug-in may appear in a recency-based ranking even if it has no recorded installations or likes. Its position reflects when it was first publicly released and does not necessarily indicate popularity, quality or endorsement by Even Realities.
Where two Plug-ins have the same first public release time, Even Hub may apply a stable technical secondary order. A position resulting from that secondary order does not indicate that one Plug-in is more strongly recommended than another.
8. Recommendations Based on User Context
Even Hub may provide Plug-in recommendations based on a limited amount of information about how the User interacts with Even Hub, such as Plug-ins previously added or installed and the broad categories of those Plug-ins. Relevant contextual information, including regional availability, language, device capabilities, and compatibility with the User’s Even Realities Products, firmware and Even Realities App version, may also be considered.
Even Hub uses an automated, rule-based process to select and order Plug-ins that may be relevant in the applicable context. Not all available information is used for every recommendation, and Even Hub does not assign every Plug-in a universal individualized score for each User.
This process is used to organize and present Plug-in recommendations. It does not determine access to Even Realities Products or Services, change prices or contractual terms, or make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for the User.
Even Hub is not designed to use or infer sensitive characteristics, such as health status, political opinions, religious beliefs or sexual orientation, for Plug-in recommendations.
The information used for these recommendations may constitute Personal Data. More information about the information used, the applicable legal basis and Users’ privacy rights is available in Privacy Policy (Device & APP). Users may exercise applicable privacy rights, including the right to object where processing is based on legitimate interests, as described in the Privacy Policy (Device & APP).
9. Commercial Relationships
Commercial relationships and developer-support arrangements may be relevant to some manually selected recommendations.
A commercial partnership or participation in an Even Realities developer-support program may cause a Plug-in to be considered for an editorial recommendation or another manually selected placement. Such a relationship does not guarantee inclusion, does not guarantee a particular position and does not replace editorial judgment or eligibility requirements.
Commercial relationships do not change the calculation used for organic installation-based, like-based or recency-based rankings. Even Hub does not currently allow Developers to purchase a position in those rankings.
If Even Hub introduces paid, sponsored or promoted placement, it will be distinguished from organic recommendations and clearly identified as advertising, sponsored or promoted content.
Where a commercial relationship materially influences an editorial placement, Even Realities will provide an appropriate disclosure.
10. Information for Developers
Developers can support the discoverability of their Plug-ins by providing accurate and complete Plug-in information, selecting an appropriate category, maintaining compatibility and stability, complying with applicable publication requirements and providing appropriate support to Users.
These actions do not guarantee editorial selection or a particular ranking position.
A Developer may request review if it reasonably believes that Even Hub has used inaccurate information concerning the Plug-in’s publication status, availability, category, installation information, like information, first public release time, technical compatibility, identity or attribution.
Developers may also use any appeal channel made available under the Even Hub Developer Platform Terms of Service for eligible review or enforcement decisions.
Editorial selection remains discretionary. A correction or appeal does not give a Developer a right to a particular placement.
11. No Warranty or Endorsement
Recommendations and rankings are intended to assist Users in discovering Plug-ins. They do not constitute a warranty regarding a Plug-in or Developer.
A prominent position or editorial recommendation does not guarantee that a Plug-in will be secure, uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every User.
Users should review the applicable Developer terms, privacy policy and support information before enabling or using a Third-party Plug-in or connected Non-Even Realities Application.
Recommending a Third-party Plug-in does not itself authorize Even Realities to disclose a User’s Personal Data to the relevant Developer. Where consent or another authorization is required, it will be obtained separately in accordance with the applicable terms.
The applicable disclaimers and limitations remain governed by the Even Hub Terms of Service and mandatory law.
12. Updates to This Notice
Even Realities may test and improve how Plug-ins are selected, recommended and ranked.
We will update this Notice where there is a material change to the principal recommendation or ranking factors, their relative importance, the role of Personal Data, the influence of commercial relationships or the choices available to Users or Developers.
Changes to ranking names, translations, page design, navigation, collection names or display quantities do not necessarily require an update where they do not materially change the rules described in this Notice.
