G2 Glasses and Even Realities App Fail to Transcribe or Display Content Correctly When Voice Input Is Set to “Glasses”

If you notice that your G2 glasses and the Even Realities App fail to transcribe or display content correctly when using features such as Even AI, Conversate, or Translate, please follow the instructions below to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Test other voice features
In the app, use another voice feature, such as Conversate or Translate, and change the audio input source to Glasses (please note that the audio input source cannot be adjusted for Even AI). Then, check whether any text is recognized and displayed in the app and on the glasses.
  1. Test another voice input source
Change the audio input source to Phone, then use the voice feature again and check whether any text is recognized and displayed in the app and on the glasses.
  1. Restart the glasses
If the issue persists, restart the glasses by quickly tapping the touchpads on both temples five times. You should hear a beep a few seconds after the restart is successful.
 
At the same time, completely force close the app on your phone and then reopen it. Next, try using the Even AI, Conversate, and Translate features again, switch between the Glasses and Phone audio input sources, and observe the results.
 
  • If the app and glasses can recognize voice and the features work properly when using the phone's microphone, but not when using the glasses' microphone, please provide the following information:
  1. The serial number (SN) of the glasses.
  2. The date and time when the issue occurred.
  3. If possible, please provide a video showing the recognition and transcription results in the app when using both audio input sources.
  • If both the app and glasses cannot recognize voice or execute the features properly even when using both the phone and glasses microphones, please provide the following information:
  1. The serial number (SN) of the glasses.
  2. Upload the logs after the glasses are connected to the app and the issue has occurred again. How To Upload Logs
  3. The date and time when the issue occurred.
  4. If possible, please provide a video showing the recognition and transcription results in the app when using both audio input sources.
