R1 Firmware Update Fails

If the R1 firmware update fails, follow these steps.

1. Check the update requirements.

   • Make sure the ring’s battery level is above 50%.
   • Make sure your phone has a stable internet connection.
   • Keep the Even Realities App open in the foreground throughout the update.
   • Update the Even Realities App to the latest version.

2. Exit the update failure screen.

3. Go to Device Information in the app and tap Factory Reset.

4. Try updating the firmware again.

If the issue persists, please contact us with the following information so we can investigate:

• The troubleshooting steps you have already tried.
• The Bluetooth device name of your R1 ring (EVEN R1_****).
• After the issue occurs while the ring is connected to the app, upload the app logs. Follow How To Upload Logs.
• The time when the issue occurred and the progress percentage at which the update failed.
