To ensure optimal fit and comfort when wearing your Even G2, you may occasionally need to make fine adjustments to the titanium alloy temples. Please follow the steps below carefully.
Before You Begin
- Handle with Care: The Even G2 is a precision electronic device, and its temples may house internal components. Applying excessive force can cause irreversible damage.
- Gentle, Gradual Force: While titanium is flexible, never use brute force. All adjustments should be made using even, slow pressure and achieved through multiple, tiny increments.
- Inspect First: Check that the hinge screws are tight and that there is no visible damage or abnormality on the temples.
Adjustment Methods
1. Discomfort at the Temples (Too Tight or Too Loose)
- Adjust the curvature of the middle section of the temple.
- If too tight: Place your thumbs on the inner side of the middle temple section (closer to your head). With your index fingers on the outside for support, gently and slowly push outward to slightly widen the curve.
- If too loose: Gently hold the middle section of the temple and apply gentle, slow pressure inward to slightly tighten the curve.
- Repeat the same adjustment on the other temple.
2. Discomfort at or Behind the Ears (Too Much Pressure or Too Loose)
- Adjust the end piece (the curved tip) of the temple.
- If there's pressure: Pinch the end piece between your fingers. Use your thumb to gently push the curve outward (away from your ear).
- If it feels loose: Pinch the end piece and use your thumb to gently push the curve inward for a more secure fit.
- Repeat the same adjustment on the other temple.
Important Notes:
- Use Moderate Force & Adjust Incrementally: Each adjustment should be smaller than you think. Wear the glasses after each tweak to assess the fit before proceeding.
- Adjust in Stages: Do not attempt to make a large bend at a single point. To change the overall curve, apply slight adjustments at multiple points along the middle and rear sections of the temple.
- NEVER directly bend, squeeze, or twist the front frame (which holds the lenses and electronics).
- NEVER directly squeeze, pinch, or twist the hinges (the joints connecting the temples to the frame).
Final Check
Put the glasses back on. Slowly turn and nod your head to feel if the pressure points are gone and if the glasses sit stably and evenly on your face.
Self-adjustment carries risks. If you are uncertain or if the issue persists after adjustment, stop immediately. For assistance, please contact our Service Team for technical guidance, or visit a professional optician for expert help.
